Thank you Lord Jesus for dying for all my sin. At Sunday Simple Church Mike stood and shared that it took all of you to pay for all of my sin. Now four days later in this moment with you Lord Jesus his words float to the surface and I’m now comprehending that my sins were not a drop in the big bucket of sin but indeed the complete weight and totality of the sin Jesus our Savior bore and became.
Jesus, you became sin, my sin. If I was the only sinner the payment for my sin would have still required all that you suffered.
This is new to me. I already thought that I was part of all the world-wide ages-long load of sin Jesus carried as I have heard and agreed that if I was the only sinner he would have died for me. But this is different even though the words are almost the same.
Now I see that, all my sin required all he that he had. Again, I just thought my sins, horrendous as they are, were simply a drop in the big bucket! Now, I’m reeling on the inside with the grandeur and enormity of this new thought. It gives me a greater sense of his forgiveness and willingness to die for me. It’s huge.
Thank you Lord for that word through, Mike, last Sunday and for bringing it out of the oven as fresh revelation for me today!
Simple Church based on 1 Corinthians 14 especially verse 26 allows this kind of thing to happen. Deep cries unto Deep. Face to Face. Faith to Faith. Glory to Glory. Strength to Strength. As we minister to one another in word, song, and spirit.
