Last night I dreamed about a bear attacking a boy! Not fun.

This morning, as I listening with the Lord about it the Lord reminded me of the boy, David, who killed the bear that was hurting his sheep with his own hands (1 Sam. 17:34)! Hard work, I’d say!

Then I heard the Lord say about my own opportunities and work to not be defeated or give up. Instead, grab it with my own hands and take it down with the “labor” by faith!

“In hard work there is always something gained, but idle talk leads only to poverty.” (Proverbs 14:23, GW) Hard work is painful. Here’s the definition for the Hebrew word translated “hard work”:

Hebrew 1666     עָצַב (ʿāṣab) I, grieve, displease, vex, wrest…The root ʿāṣab relates to physical pain as well as to emotional sorrow (cf. ʿăṣîb in Biblical Aramaic, “sad”).

God has a work for us to do! Let’s grab it and go and gain and win!
